Pulse Output is commonly used with third party radio transmitters and data loggers to gather KWH from an electric meter. EZ Meter has been tested on Tehama, Hexagram, and Inovonics radio’s as well as with HOBO and Obvious data loggers. As long as the system can take a 50 ms pulse EZ Meter should work. Meters can also be ordered with different pulse lengths.
The meter briefly closes a dry-contact switch every time it registers a KWH and the pulse counting systems detects the switch closure, records it, and transmits the count by RF to a receiver. EZ Meter has the ability to change the length of the pulse to accommodate any length of time that our clients require.
