EZMeter Reader software now in Beta - 5/10
The program to replace EZReadIt Gold is now avaialable to people who want to try it out. The new program supports
most of the features of the old Microsoft Access based program it replaces with the exception of the auxiliary IO
ports on the IO Plus meters. EZMeter Reader was written to work with the new series of meters that provide a variety of information besides kilowatt hours. The program logs volts, amps, watts, power factor, and hertz as well as providing a billing option. The billing option prepares invoices based on the power used and monthly rent for the unit. It does not have a receivables function. Beta testers will receive a free lifetime license to use the program. Click here to request to be a beta tester.
EZReadIt Gold Software Works on Windows 7, but Not Vista - 1/10
Users of our EZReadIt Gold meter reading and billing program can now upgrade their computers to Windows 7 Pro
and not worry about not being able to use the program. Microsoft added XP mode to Windows 7 Pro and Ultimate
which will run EZReadIt Gold and other programs that do not run under Vista. Watch this page for an announcement
of our new meter reading and billing software that will be available in Beta (test version) in late January or early
February.
New Meter Series Available in limited quantities - 12/09
Our new series of watthour meters is almost ready for prime time. The manual still needs some work
and the meters will be sent to CSA International for safety testing as soon as it is done. Selected models
will also be sent to California Measurement Standards and Measurements Canada for their approvals. Eventually, the new
line will replace our existing line of meters. Like the old line, the new ones have a modular design
that lets us configure a meter to the customers exact requirements. Some of the features are:
Serial communication using isolated RS-485 or RS-232 using an enhancement of our original EZ Plus protocol
or Modbus.(/li>
Ability to get instantaneous volts, amps, watts, power factor and hertz for each phase
Isolated pulse output with ability to configure different pulse widths
Voltage up to 480 volts, single phase, 3 phase wye, 3 and 4 wire delta
Max current from 50 to 2000 amps
Low cost software for Windows, Linux and OS-X to read meters and log data
