The standard meter needs to be mounted in a NEMA approved enclosure suitable for the location. The user can provide his own enclosure or choose one of our NEMA4X enclosures with a custom panel for mounting the meter and display.
If you use your own enclosure, you can save time installing the counter by using our stainless steel mounting plate. The counter snaps into it and you use a hole saw to drill a hole in the cover of your enclosure instead of having to file or nibble a rectangular opening for the counter. You attach it with four #6 screws or pop rivets.
The only difference between the interior and exterior NEMA enclosures is that the exterior model has UV inhibitors in the plastic.
