Davidge Controls is exited to offer a new version of its popular EZ Meter. Designed with recreational marinas in mind, the Dual Meter is also a good choice for apartment buildings, condos and anywhere two 120/240 volt electric services need to be monitored. For little more than the cost of a single meter, the Dual Meter adds all the functionality of a second meter – just add two more current transformers (CTs) and another display.
In marinas where two boats share a single power pedestal, the dual meter saves both space and money. Each boat has its own CTs and its own display. The meter has pulse outputs for wireless automatic meter reading systems such as Oscar, Inovonics, Hexagram, Tehama and others.
In apartment buildings where the meters can be mounted near a main disconnect for each unit, the Dual meter again saves both space and money. While each Dual Meter has only two voltage inputs, it can be used in buildings with three phase power as long as each unit is only served two legs of the three phases. Some meters will use legs A & B, others B & C and others A & C. The installer simply matches the meters to the legs that serve each unit.
The Dual Meter carries a CSA safety certification mark having been tested to UL61010-1 (2nd Edition) for the United States and CAN/CSA-C22.2 No 61010-1-04 for Canada. Certification from Underwriters Laboratories is pending. The California Division of Measurement Standards has certified the 200 amp version of the Dual Meter for revenue billing in California.
